UBC’s Community Room was recently dedicated to honor Dr. Martin Luther King who was invited by the UNC Baptist Student Union and spoke in the Community Room (former Fellowship Room) while visiting the UNC campus on May 10, 1960. Below are some of the groups that use the Community Room.

Chin Refugee Ministry Worship – Sunday evenings

Chapel Hill Chinese Christian Church – Friday evening and Sunday morning Bible Study and Worship

English as a Second Language (ESL): Monday – Thursday mornings

Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous – various weeknights

University Baptist Church  also provides support through volunteers and financial gifts to these LOCAL non profits…

IFC (Interfaith Council) Provides meals and assistance to the community

TABLE  Provides emergency food aid to school-age children

Habitat  for Humanity Provides safe places to live for local families
