A special

Word of Welcome

to our

University Students

from

Dr. William C. Friday,

President Emeritus

 of the UNC System

Reaching  UP  in worship of our mysterious but loving God.

Reaching  IN  to each other, striving for authentic, vulnerable

        relationships.

Reaching  OUT  in radical love to our hurting world, knowing

that we may be hurt in the process.

We hope to provide an inclusive and accepting environment for you to connect with other college students as well as the men, women, and children of all ages that make UBC their church home.  We hope this will be a place in which you can freely wrestle with the many voices of scripture, forming your own convictions.  Above all else we hope we will be faithful agents of God's radical love to all people.  We continue to strive to be a community that breaks barriers of gender, race, and ethnicity.

Want to get involved in Worship? We are looking for musicians, singers, prayers, scripture readers, dancers, artists, etc. to enhance our worship experience.

Passionate about ministry?  We are looking for a female student (junior year or older) to work with the college ministry coordinator and another intern as we seek to offer ourselves to our campus.

Concerned about Justice Issues? Looking for Service Opportunities?  University Baptist has recently become a "Justice Church" because of its advocacy and financial support of International Justice Mission.  We will also strive to do one service project in the community each month.

Want a home away from home?  Get "adopted" by a church family who will care for you and help you in any way they can.  Foster Families in the past have had students over for dinner, allowed them to do laundry in their houses, and given them rides to Wal-Mart or the grocery store.  Our church family wants to do what they can to make your college experience as meaningful as possible.
