The journey begins.

We're all getting in,

Into the word of God.

His word is our guide,

For all of our lifetime.

Oh, oh, oh, HEY!

Let the vast voyage begin!

Oh, oh, HEY!

Let the vast voyage begin!

This was truly a very successful Vacation Bible School, and I am so honored to have been a part of it. Thank you to all of the ship’s crew leaders and deck hands for being my mainstay, the strong rope that serves to steady and support the mainmast of a sailing vessel.

In my opinion, VBS is the best week of the year.  Cameron Cobb, a 4th grade boy agrees. He told me, "Mrs. James, I said it last year, and I'll say it again. I wish VBS was everyday!"  Aye-Aye, Lord!

UBC Book Club

An American classic celebrating 50 years in print. Read the book and join us at our next meeting Monday, October 4 at 7:00 in the College Ministry Area.  This group is for men and women who love to read and want to participate in a lively discussion of what they’ve read. If you have read the book before, you may want to reread or refresh your memory and join us.

Chancel Choir is now having regular weekly rehearsals.

We welcome all adult singers who are interested in singing in the Chancel Choir to join us any Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:00 in the choir room.

Women's Retreat Scheduled

 November 5 - 7, 2010

(Yes, Friday-Sunday)

Did you guess that 3:00 in England is "tea time?"  This year our retreat will be "English Tea Time for Women of God."  Join us as we discover moments of God's grace in Tranquili-tea, Frivoli-tea, Beau-tea, Sereni-tea, and Availabili-tea.  So re-mark your calendars, and plan to spend Friday night to Sunday afternoon at our lovely "English Tea" - somewhere completely different!

New 2010 Church Member Directories are now available.

Please stop by the church office and pick up your copy.

FYI

A new Building Maintenance Company is now cleaning the entire UBC facility each Friday evening.  Important!  Please notify the church office of any use of the facility on Fridays (meetings, events, etc.) so the cleaning company can be notified.
