At this time, there are no Children’s activities. Please check back here periodically for updates.
The Children’s Ministry at UBC offers opportunities for children to learn and grow in God’s love. Through Sunday School, Club J Mission Kids, Music Education or Vacation Bible School, children at UBC discover their place in God’s family.
Please see below to check out our typical Children’s ministries.
Sunday school is offered from 9:45-10:45. There is a nursery for babies through preschool-aged children during the Sunday morning worship service. Elementary school children (K-5th grade) worship with us in the sanctuary because we feel the best way for children to learn how to worship is through watching the adults in their lives model it for them. Here’s a great article about children attending worship.
In addition, children are leaders in worship, serving as Junior Ushers and Bible Helpers. They are also invited each Sunday to a Children’s Sermon with our pastor. Worship bags filled with quiet activities are available for children to borrow and return at the end of each service.
Club J Mission Kids
Our Wednesday night program for children includes a hands-on mission experience for children. Whether it is baking cookies for our local firefighters, making Grab-n-Go bags for the SECU Family House, making blankets for children in the hospital, or volunteering at TABLE where we bag food to help feed hundreds of children in Chapel Hill, the Club J Mission Kids participate in projects that help people in our community.
On Wednesday nights, the children learn music fundamentals. Click here for more information.
The last Sunday of the month brings Robin McCoy to our preschool class for music time. The preschoolers learn basic elements while singing and moving to the music!
