Student Lunch & Fellowship
Meets most Sundays during the university semesters in the Great Hall after 11am worship. Check out our Events page for semester schedules.
University students gather in the Great Hall most Sundays after worship for a free lunch, fellowship, & a time of devotion. Devotions focus on talking points from each Sunday’s worship service. You don’t need to “prepare” for fellowship & devotion. We are happy to have you join us so we can all learn more about scripture and grown in our relationship with Christ.
Full and part-time undergraduate or graduate students from all colleges and universities are welcome!
For more information, please contact the office.
Cooperative Baptist Student Fellowship
Thursdays, 6:00pm-7:00pm, in the College Rm. - 3rd. fl. during the university semesters. Check out our Events page for semester schedules.
Mission Opportunities for Students
Listed below are some of UBC’s mission opportunities. Please contact the office to get in touch with Betsy Watson for more information about mission opportunities.
Chinese Scholars: Visiting Scholars from China meet at UBC for meals, fellowship, and Christian education, as well as to practice their English. This ministry needs volunteers to help set up/clean up the community room and/or visit with our Chinese guests at their weekly Friday night dinners which start at 5:45 pm. Volunteers with an interest in child care and Bible teaching are also needed.
Chin Families: Approximately 20 families from Myanmar (formerly Burma) are here as religious refugees. Volunteers are needed for a variety of activities that include providing assistance for: furniture, clothing (3 family donations yearly), financial and in-kind donations for Christmas and Easter. A special ministry is directed towards the Chin Children, and volunteers are needed one Saturday a month and/or each Sunday night (7-9 pm or 6-8pm, respectively).
Habitat for Humanity: For many years the college students at UBC have participated in Habitat activities.
Student Sunday!
Each year in August, UBC welcomes students back to our community through worship, a great meal, and a Clef Hangers concert!
